MULE DAY WORKS SCHOLARSHIPS

Career & Technical Education or Vocational Training Scholarships

Brought to you by the Maury County Bridle & Saddle Club and Mule Day

After decades of charitable support that has largely taken place behind the scenes, the Maury County Bridle and Saddle Club and Mule Day have elected to focus their efforts on providing support for CTE (Career & Technical Education) and Vocational Training. For nearly 50 years funds raised from Mule Day have supported local schools, civic organizations and multiple construction and site improvements at the Maury County Park.

2024 will mark the 50th Mule Day Celebration recognizing the history and contributions of this unique hybrid equine, the Mule. Known for its strength, stamina and intelligence the mule has played an integral part in the history of Maury County and America. To honor this legacy while recognizing the pressing need and shortage of skilled trades people the Maury County Bridle & Saddle Club and Mule Day have chosen to offer “blue collar” sponsorships to the young people of Maury County.

Career & Technical Training and Vocational Training is an extremely broad umbrella, covering careers from lineman, welding, auto technicians, HVAC and construction trades to medical certification, beauticians, pharmacy tech, administrative technology, criminal justice fields and musical careers. Bottom line is this, Mules moved the world for hundreds of years, now Mule Day is working to positively impact the lives of young people in Maury County.

You can help by encouraging the young people in your family to apply for a Mule Day Works Scholarship or by becoming a sponsor of Mule Day. Every dollar raised through sponsorships goes straight to the fixed cost of producing the event, thus increasing the funding available to support this program.
